The Old Lady have drawn all three of their group games so far, including at Danish minnows Nordsjaelland.

Although it appears that the Turin giants now have a mountain to climb, the player on loan from Arsenal is remaining optimistic.

“I don’t think there’s any cause for concern,” the 24-year-old international striker commented.

“We have three points on the board and the same amount of games to be played. There’s every chance for us to get through to the next round.”

Bendtner’s chances in Turin have been limited since his arrival, but he started his first game in yesterday’s controversial 1-0 win at Catania.

“It was a good game, played against a very strong side,” he noted. “We knew about the difficulties we’d come up against, but that’s why it was an important success.”
