Inter midfielder Marco Benassi has claimed that the squad is 'united' despite reports of a bust-up between Antonio Cassano and Andrea Stramaccioni.

Stories last week confirmed that the striker and the Coach had to be dragged apart after a frank exchange before the weekend's match with Catania.

But the 18-year-old has insisted that everyone in the team is behind the boss, especially after their come-from-behind victory over the Elefanti.

“The Coach didn't say anything special to us yesterday,” he told reporters. “He was calm and told us not to give up.

“The group is very united – even the experienced players were joyous after Sunday's win.

“We believe we are a strong side – if we give our best we can do great things.

“Nothing happened with Cassano. It was a discussion.”
