“Playing at San Siro is always special for me. I had two or three years here that I will never forget and even made my debut here, so I will always be grateful to Inter,” Benassi told Inter TV.

The midfielder spent time in the Nerazzurri youth academy and was sold to Torino in 2014.
“We’ve been working together for a year with this Fiorentina squad and now it’s up to us to earn the results. I don’t know if we’re the form team in Serie A at the moment, but we are certainly in good shape.
“We’ll try to repeat our recent performances tonight. Playing midweek games isn’t an issue, as we are young and have a lot of strength in depth.”
