Andrea Belotti has reportedly decided to join Ligue 1 side Monaco and a deal is close to completion.

The 28-year-old Italian forward officially left Torino on a free transfer yesterday, ending a seven-year association with the Granata. Whilst he had been dreaming of a move to Milan, the Rossoneri have decided to focus on other targets, forcing him to consider other options both at home and abroad.

As reported by TMW, Belotti has chosen Monaco as his next club and he’s expected to arrive in the Principality either tonight or tomorrow in order to complete the deal. Some final details are still missing but both parties are confident that everything will be finalised soon.

During his seven years with Torino, Belotti made 251 appearances across all competitions, scoring 113 goals and providing 28 assists. He’ll be hoping to shine at Monaco now, finally making the move to a top club.

An impressive season in France could see him re-earn a starting spot in Roberto Mancini’s Italy squad. He’s already scored 12 goals in 44 international caps.
