The 20-year-old is currently a key part of the Italian Under-21 side given that he has netted six goals in his 10 caps to date.

But the striker, who made his Serie A debut in Week 1, has his eyes on selection for the full international side.

But the striker, who made his Serie A debut in Week 1, has his eyes on selection for the full international side.

“My dream is to wear the shirt of the national team,” the attacker, 10 goals in the second tier last term, told TGR Sicilia.

“However, I know that in order to earn selection then I need to merit a call-up with my performances for Palermo.

“I want to do really well for my club side in order to also convince Conte to give me an opportunity.”

Belotti has scored three goals for the Azzurrini in the last 10 days thanks to a brace against Serbia and a strike versus Cyprus.
