Palermo youngster Andrea Belotti has conceded that he can’t wait to start the new season and make his mark on Serie A.

The 20-year-old is a product of the AlbinoLeffe youth system, and spent last term on loan in Sicily, where his 14 goals fired the Rosanero to the top flight.

And after agreeing a co-ownership deal, the striker has insisted that he is itching to start the new campaign.

“Serie A is something I have dreamed about since I was a child,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“I have dreamed about playing against the biggest players and have worked hard to do so.

“Now I want to make the most of my opportunity.”

Belotti then commented on reports that he could be part of the Italian national team’s next generation.

“I’m pleased to be talked about like that, but right now I just want to concentrate on doing well for Palermo.

“I have to do well for them first, and then we’ll see what happens.”
