Andrea Belotti commented on the importance of his equaliser against Juventus and if this will be his last derby with Torino.

The 28-year-old Italian forward was the difference maker in the Granata’s 1-1 draw with the Bianconeri earlier this evening, netting a stumbling volley in the 62nd minute to tie things up at the Allianz Stadium. He has missed 14 league games this season due to both tendon and muscle injuries.

Speaking to DAZN after the match, Belotti reacted to the draw against Juventus and his equaliser.

“In the celebration there was everything, there was a desire to make a great performance. It’s a shame we didn’t win, Torino played a great game and I think if we won we wouldn’t have stolen anything. Surely the goal is important for me and for the whole team, I’m called upon for this.

“It’s been a long time, I had two months full of injuries that kept me out for a long time but I kept working hard. When I came back with the team everything was easier, also thanks to the coach who put me on the pitch today and believes in me as in the rest of the teammates.”

Belotti then touched on if this will be his last derby in Turin.

“I don’t know, but if it’s the last one I’m proud of myself and my teammates because we played a great game.”

The 28-year-old Belotti, whose contract expires with Torino at the end of this season, has scored three goals and provided one assist in 11 Serie A appearances this season. He seems destined to leave the Granata at the end of this season, ready for a new adventure after seven years in Turin.
