Torino are concerned after Andrea Belotti limped off with a sprained ankle during this evening’s Coppa Italia clash against Cremonese.
The incident occurred midway through the first half at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.
Belotti and Paolo Bartolomei got into an accidental tangle and the Cremonese man landed on the Torino captain’s ankle, bending it at an unnatural angle.
Although the Italy international tried to continue after treatment, he limped off a few minutes later.
This was the first game back with fans at the stadium for Torino and they did not get the reception they’d hoped for, as the team was jeered off the pitch at half-time with the result at 0-0.
Toro’s opening Serie A match is next weekend against Atalanta on Saturday August 21.
