Inter have officially dismissed reports that new signing Ishak Belfodil will leave the club before the transfer window closes.

Belfodil, who the Nerazzurri signed in a co-ownership deal from Parma last month, is today being linked with an exit.

“In response to stories appearing in the media, FC Internazionale denies reports that Ishak Belfodil might be leaving the club,” read a statement.

The Corriere dello Sport today claimed the 21-year-old could join Genoa as a result of a series of striker moves.

The Algerian was supposedly set to join the Marassi outfit as a replacement for Alberto Gilardino who would be heading to Roma.

The latter would then release Marco Borriello to the Beneamata to fill the void left by Belfodil’s exit.

Other reports suggested that the youngster would be moved on should Inter manage to re-sign former attacker Samuel Eto’o from Anzhi.
