Rodrigo Becao saw his move to Fenerbahce fall apart, so the Udinese defender is now very close to Atalanta rather than Torino.

The centre-back had been ready to join the Turkish side and the two clubs had agreed a deal, but failed to work out personal terms and the entire thing was abandoned.

The Brazilian now seems likely to remain in Serie A, but while Torino are also interested, it is Atalanta who have the upper hand.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the negotiations are at an advanced stage and Becao’s agent will get involved over the next couple of days.

The 27-year-old has been with Udinese since the summer of 2019, having previously played for Bahia and CSKA Moscow.

He has 127 Serie A appearances under his belt, also scoring six goals and providing three assists.

Accustomed to a system with three at the back, Becao is eager to join Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta.
