“Let us not forget Lugano are run by Genoa patron Enrico Preziosi, so it is very likely we'll see Bebeto in Italy soon, although perhaps not immediately at Marassi,” said agent Claudio Onofri.

There are several Italians already in the squad, including Fabio Liverani, Davide Possanzini and Massimo Bonanni, while their Coach is ex-Inter midfielder Francesco Moriero.

Bebeto made his Lugano debut against Inter, having played for the Under-21 Team Ticino earlier this season.
