The bidding war for Torino defender Bremer is hotting up, as German reports suggest Bayern Munich have joined the race with Inter, Milan, Chelsea, Newcastle United and more.

The Brazilian centre-back recently signed a new contract with Toro until June 2024, therefore guaranteeing his club more leverage on the transfer market, although his departure this summer is practically certain.

He has been with the Granata since 2018 and turns 25 next month, so is at the peak of his powers.

Inter remain the favourites to sign Bremer, ahead of Milan, Chelsea and Newcastle United, especially as the Magpies had already tried in January.

However, Sky Sports Deutschland report that Bayern Munich have now entered the fray and made initial very positive contact with Torino.

There is no firm offer yet, but definite interest and the groundwork being laid for a potential summer swoop.

His star has been rising in recent months, especially after he twice marked Dusan Vlahovic out of the game in Serie A, when the striker was playing for Fiorentina and then Juventus.

Bremer also scored two goals and provided one assist in 23 Serie A matches this term.
