Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is reportedly evaluating Bayern Munich’s interest in goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.
The 33-year-old Polish shot stopper is part of the Bianconeri squad for their pre-season tour in the United States and recently penned a contract extension with the club, extending his stay until June 2025.
Szczesny has continued to be Massimiliano Allegri’s number one in Turin and last season he saw over 3500 minutes of action for Juventus across 40 matches.
As reported by La Repubblica, Bayern Munich are interested in making a move for Szczesny this summer, preparing to lose Yann Sommer to Inter. First choice Manuel Neuer is still recovering from a broken leg, leaving them without a reliable shot stopper.
Giuntoli has left the US to return to Turin to continue working on the transfer market and one thing he’s working on is the Bavarian’s interest in the Pole.
The Bundesliga giants are also reportedly interested in picking up Brentford’s David Raya, who could cost up to €40m.
