Bayern Munich announced Juventus will activate their option to buy Douglas Costa at a cost of €46m.
It was confirmed during Friday night’s shareholder’s meeting by chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
Douglas Costa made the move on loan with option to buy that could be activated by June 30, 2018.
However, the Press release on the transfer only specified that Juve had to pay €6m and the option to buy permanently was for another €40m, to be paid over two financial years.

According to Rummenigge, Bayern Munich already received confirmation that Juventus will buy the player outright.
The 27-year-old has so far made 16 competitive appearances for Juventus, scoring one goal and providing four assists.
These two clubs have done similar deals in recent years, involving Kingsley Coman and Medhi Benatia.
