Bayern Munich are ready to let Robert Lewandowski join Barcelona and reinvest the money into signing Matthijs de Ligt, according to reports in Germany.

The Poland forward has made clear his desire to leave the Bavarian giants this summer and appears to be keen on a switch the Catalonia.

Meanwhile, a Bayern delegation was in Turin on Monday in an attempt to finalise a deal for De Ligt but left without an agreement.

Sky Germany report Bayern would be willing to accept between €50- €55m for Lewandowski and that would allow them to increase their offer for the Netherlands central defender.

De Ligt returned to Juve earlier this week but appears set to leave the club in this transfer window.

Chelsea were initially interested, while there was also talk of a reunion with former manager Erik ten Hag at Manchester United, but it appears Bayern are leading the race.

Juve will be wary of avoiding a repeat of last season’s errors when Cristiano Ronaldo decided to leave the club on the eve of the new campaign, leaving them with little time to find a replacement.
