Bayer Leverkusen are closing on the deal with Roma for Patrik Schick at a cost of €22m, claim reports in Germany.

Sport1 maintain the two clubs are very close to reaching an agreement on the permanent transfer.

Schick spent last season in the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig, finding the net 10 times in 28 competitive games.

They would not take up their option to buy, so Roma entered into negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen and those now seem to be at an advanced stage.

It is likely to be a fee worth €22m, including add-ons and bonuses.
