“It is true, we did meet with Bayer’s Rudi Voeller and the club yesterday,” Silvio Pagliari is quoted as saying on the playermanagement.eu website.
“The negotiations are not complete though, even if I can say that we are at a good point in the proceedings.
“We are waiting for the boy to get back to Italy, but he would be happy with an eventual move to the Bundesliga.”
The defender, who was part of the Italian Under-21 squad at the European Championship, spent 2012-13 at Serie B side Grosseto.
