Multiple outlets are reporting that centre-back Alessandro Bastoni has recovered in time for Inter’s Serie A clash against Udinese on Saturday evening following an injury that has kept him out of action since the most recent international break.

The 24-year-old was sent home from Italy’s training camp in November after reporting an issue with his calf and has missed both of three club matches since then across Serie A and the Champions League.

However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Bastoni has been training with the team over the last few days and proved in Saturday morning’s session that he was in decent enough condition to return to action against Udinese.

Benjamin Pavard, who has also been out injured in recent weeks, is also close to returning to action and could be involved with the matchday squad on Saturday.

As Pavard is not expected to start and with Matteo Darmian likely to start at wing-back, there is likely to be a full league debut handed to summer signing Yann Bisseck, who has previously registered just 12 minutes of Serie A playing time across three cameo appearances.
