Bastoni pulls out of Italy squad, Mancini calls Romagnoli

Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli has replaced Alessandro Bastoni for the Azzurri’s get-together at the Coverciano training ground.

Multiple reports in Italy claim the Inter defender is no longer available to join Mancini’s squad, so Romagnoli is travelling to Florence and will spend the next few days training with the Azzurri ar Coverciano.

It is still unclear why Bastoni could not join the Azzurri.

The 22-year-old has played 27 games across all competitions this season, while Romagnoli, 27, has collected 19 games with the Rossoneri.

Leonardo Bonucci and Lorenzo Pellegrini also came in despite injuries yesterday, while Caleb Okoli and Gian Marco Ferrari replaced Giorgio Scalvini.
