Alessandro Bastoni sent out a clear message on social media after his agent declared he’d ‘certainly stay at Inter,’ slamming the door on Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United.
The Italy international is currently preparing for Saturday’s Nations League match against England.
There were also reports he would be coming to the Premier League next season, with Antonio Conte’s Spurs and Manchester United said to be in a bidding war.
Chelsea are also seeking a new defender and could request an exchange as part of Romelu Lukaku’s return to San Siro.
However, today Bastoni’s agent Tullio Tinti left a meeting at the Inter headquarters and could not have been more definitive.
“Bastoni will certainly remain at Inter,” Tinti told reporters.
“He has a contract with Inter, he is happy to play at Inter and there’s no problem.”
The 23-year-old himself added his voice to the message by liking the post on social media, adding hearts in the Inter traditional blue and black colours.
Bastoni is a lifelong Inter supporter and reiterated last night on RAI Sport that he has no intention of leaving the club.
