Alessandro Bastoni was visibly enraged after being taken off by Simone Inzaghi in the first half of Inter’s away clash with Udinese today.

The Nerazzurri coach decided to replace both Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Bastoni in the 30th minute of the first half at the Dacia Arena, replacing them with Roberto Gagliardini and Federico Dimarco respectively. Both players picked up a yellow card within the first 21 minutes but the double change still raised eyebrows from viewers.

As highlighted by DAZN, Bastoni in particularly was furious after being taken off the pitch by Inzaghi, kicking a seat on the bench multiple times. Teammate Robin Gosens tried to calm him down by commenting on how many were watching his reaction.

It was the 23-year-old Italian centre back’s first booking of the Serie A season and he clearly wasn’t impressed with Inzaghi’s cautious actions. He is a key part of their defence alongside Milan Skriniar and Stefan de Vrij.
