Inter and Italy defender Alessandro Bastoni admitted that he feels like he could spend his entire playing career in San Siro with the Nerazzurri, after celebrating his second Serie A title over the course of the last week.

The 25-year-old centre back recently spoke to Sky Sport Italia, admitting that he feels like hs should ‘repay’ the club’s supporters for the love they have shown him and his teammates.

He realised that he ought not to get too carried away, especially with the meteoric highs of the 2023-24 season. He acknowledged the low points of his career as well, but thanked the supporters for always sticking by him, regardless of the circumstances.

When asked if he could spend the entirety of his career with Inter, Bastoni replied: “Personally, I feel it, especially after the celebrations, after the affection that was shown from everybody. But when things are going well, it’s easy to celebrate and be happy.

“Unfortunately, I’ve also been through major disappointments, like the loss of the Scudetto in 2022, or the Champions League final, where we also felt the support of the fans, so I do feel like repaying their affection.”
