Andrea Barzagli has agreed a contract renewal with Juventus to June 2019 and will play on until his 38th birthday, it’s reported.

The defender’s current deal is due to expire at the end of this season.

He will turn 37 in May, so by the time the new contract runs out in June 2019, the centre-back will be 38 years old.

Barzagli first joined Juventus in January 2011 from VfL Wolfsburg, having spent three years in the Bundesliga.

His only other clubs were Firenze Rondinella, Pistoiese, Ascoli, Chievo and Palermo.
