Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu declared he knows where Juventus target Matthijs de Ligt will play next season, while Neymar “wants to leave PSG.”
The patron was speaking at a Press conference for the presentation of new buy Frenkie de Jong, fresh from his Ajax transfer, and was surprisingly frank on other stories too.

The patron was speaking at a Press conference for the presentation of new buy Frenkie de Jong, fresh from his Ajax transfer, and was surprisingly frank on other stories too.
“I’ve been saying for some time that I know where De Ligt will play next season. I can’t say any more than that right now, as it’s the interested parties who ought to announce that.”
Barca had been interested in the Ajax defender, along with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, but it’s widely reported Juventus are leading the race and agreed personal terms with the defender.
Bartomeu also confessed there is truth in the reports Neymar is pushing to leave Paris Saint-Germain, just two years after he left Barcelona in a world record €222m deal.
“We know that the player wants to leave PSG, but we also know that PSG don’t want him to go, so there is nothing to talk about.
“Yesterday, we had a meeting between (executive director of Barcelona) Oscar Grau and (Atletico Madrid board member) Miguel Angel Gil to talk about Antoine Griezmann. I cannot say any more.
“Situations change from one year to the next and this doesn’t mean he’s definitely coming to Barcelona. We are interested, but stating he’ll come here is another matter.”
