Juventus midfielder Enzo Barrenechea has successfully completed medical tests as a new Aston Villa player.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Juventus midfielder Barrenechea has completed his medical tests with Aston Villa, so the Premier League side are on the verge of completing a maxi-swap deal with the Serie A giants.
Barrenechea will join Aston Villa alongside Samuel Iling-Junior, a product of the Chelsea academy, for €25m plus Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz.
The latter is expected to undergo medical on behalf of Juventus today in the USA.

Barrenechea spent the last season on loan at Frosinone, where he scored a goal and delivered one assist in 39 appearances across all competitions.
He made his senior Juventus debut in 2022 in a Champions League game against PSG at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.
Barrenechea, a defensive midfielder, was included in the swap deal between Juve and Aston Villa after USMNT star Weston McKennie refused to join the Premier League side.
