Frosinone Coach Marco Baroni doesn’t agree with accusations that his team “lacked motivation” in their 3-1 defeat to Udinese.

“I don’t agree that we were not motivated for today’s game,” the 55-year-old tactician told Radio Rai after the game.

The Canarini are already relegated, and found themselves three goals down inside the first 44 minutes before Federico Dionisi pulled one back late on.

“I don’t agree that we were not motivated for today’s game,” the 55-year-old tactician told Radio Rai after the game.

“In the first half we tried to play our football and created a few chances. Unfortunately, we found ourselves three goals down due to mistakes. We seem to always commit the same errors, call it naivety if you want.

“We tried to put in a good performance, but it is difficult to comment on what went wrong. The final scoreline is a bit heavy for what I saw us do on the pitch.

“I’m happy that Federico Dionisi scored his first goal of the season, he has been unlucky with injuries this year, but he is growing stronger week to week.”

Frosinone are going to be in Serie B next season, but Baroni has not yet decided whether he’ll be with them.

“I haven’t talked to the President yet. I will ask my players to train hard this week, in preparation for the last two matches.

“We have to go into them with the right mentality, so after that, I will talk with the club and we will do our evaluations on May 29.”
