Reports had emerged on Calciomercato.it that they were looking at Barisic as an understudy to Aleksandar Kolarov.
If there is to be a bid in the January transfer window, then so far it has not gone beyond the planning stage.

The 27-year-old defender only joined Rangers in August 2018 from NK Osijek and has 12 senior caps for Croatia, scoring one goal.
So far this season, Barisic has two goals and an impressive 13 assists in 27 competitive games for the Scottish club.
