Serie C side Bari have pulled off a coup by bringing in Pierluigi Frattini and Manuel Scavone from Parma.

Despite only returning to League football this season, Bari have managed to snap up two of Parma’s Serie A promotion heroes.

“Our paths are divided today, but pages of our history – written in part thanks to your crucial contributions day after day, training session after training session and game after game – will remain forever and are indelible: thanks Gigi, thanks Manu!” read a statement on the Ducali’s official website.

Frattini is a 32-year-old goalkeeper, while Scavone is a midfielder who turned 32 last month.

The latter also helped Lecce win promotion to the top tier last term, overcoming a potential head injury in the process.

Bari were expelled from Serie B a year ago due to financial irregularities but were re-founded by Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis, with his son Luigi running them.
