Bari President Gianluca Paparesta describes the possibility of Antonio Cassano’s return to the club as ‘a dream’.
FantAntonio is available on the market as a free agent having rescinded his Parma contract this week, and one of the clubs linked with his signature has been his first, hometown side Bari.
Today, their President has been quick to put forward the southern outfit as an option.
“Cassano is a dream for the club,” said former referee Paparesta after presenting the youth team for the Viareggio Tournament, as reported by Il Corriere dello Sport.
“A club must have dreams.
“When I started refereeing I dreamt of doing it in Serie A, and luckily I made it.
“One year ago I wanted to purchase Bari and it was a dream. Then it became reality.
“I also dreamt of an active youth team and to have the Primavera play at the Viareggio tournament. That came true as well.
“Cassano knows that, as far as we're concerned, he would be welcome at Bari, and beloved by the tifosi.”
