Inter midfielder Nicolò Barella underwent nasal surgery this morning and the club has confirmed the intervention was ‘perfectly successful’.
The Italy international needed surgery to ‘correct his nasal septum’ and the Nerazzurri reassured the Azzurri fans that he will resume training after a few days of rest.
Barella has been one of the key members of the Inter team that picked up their first Scudetto in 11 years and has established himself as a pillar in both the Nerazzurri and the Italy squad since his move from Cagliari in 2019.

“In the morning today, Nicolò Barella underwent surgery to correct his nasal septum at the Humanitas Clinical Institute in Rozzano,” the club wrote in a statement.
“The intervention was perfectly successful. The Italian midfielder will be able to resume training after a few days of rest.”
The 24-year-old, capped 21 times by Italy, has played 36 Serie A games this term, contributing three goals and nine assists in 2020-21.
