Barella placed 27th for his part in taking Inter to the Champions League Final, as well as winning the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana.
His Inter teammate Lautaro Martinez took 20th position, having also played in the Argentina World Cup squad, while Andre Onana was in 23rd position, having since joined Manchester United.
Napoli won their first Scudetto in over 30 years and reached the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time in their history.
The breakout stars from that team were Georgian talent Kvaratskhelia, who was rewarded with 17th place overall in the Ballon d’Or rankings, and defender Kim Min-jae.
The South Korea international joined Bayern Munich in the summer and was voted in 22nd.
Osimhen became the first African player to be crowned Capocannoniere of Serie A, scoring 26 goals in just 32 Serie A appearances on the way to the Scudetto and took 8th position.
