The new Chievo shot-stopper is currently with the Azzurrini as they prepare to take on Serbia and Cyprus in Euro 2015 qualifiers.

And the youngster has admitted that competitions for a place between the sticks is strong on the peninsula.

And the youngster has admitted that competitions for a place between the sticks is strong on the peninsula.

“I’m delighted to be part of such a strong generation,” he told the FIGC’s official website.

“We have a lot of quality, and it’s nice that such big clubs are showing confidence in their young players.

“We’re preparing to face two tough teams who will want to do well against us. We have a hard group, but that is spurring us on.

“Our desire is to do as well as possible and keep the Italian flag waving.”
