Francesco Bardi insists he would be ready to play for Inter should the club recall him to San Siro.

The Italian Under-21 international is owned by the Nerazzurri, but is presently on loan with little Livorno.

“To play for a big club is the ambition of everyone,” the goalkeeper told the Gazzetta dello Sport. “And I’ve always said that I would like to return one day.

“If that day was to arrive sooner rather than later then I would be ready.

“However, right now I am just concentrating on Livorno and myself. I want to grow and improve. Time is on my side.”

Bardi did face his parent club recently and was clearly at fault for one of the goals which he conceded.

“I was disappointed for my teammates and my club,” the custodian added. “The next day I turned off my phone, I didn’t read the newspapers and I didn’t even watch another game.

“I wanted to break away from everything and, on the following Monday, I was ready to start again…”
