Clement Lenglet is no longer part of Xavi’s project in Barcelona and he could depart this summer, with both Roma and Tottenham interested in a possible move.

The 27-year-old Frenchman, who joined the Blaugrana in the summer of 2018 from Sevilla, only made seven La Liga starts last campaign, playing 814 minutes of league action in total. Despite his long contract lasting until 2026, Barcelona are now prepared to transfer list him.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport and La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are interested in making a loan move for Lenglet, but they’ll have to face off against a Tottenham side who are also keen.

The Frenchman is not a priority for the Giallorossi, however, as they are trying to prune the squad a little in order to make some space for new arrivals.

The 27-year-old Lenglet has made 159 appearances for Barcelona since his arrival in 2018, helping the squad win a La Liga title and the Copa del Rey.
