Barcelona’s President confirms they could sue Santos for selling Gabriel Barbosa to Inter this summer.

As part of the deal which took Neymar to Camp Nou, the Blaugrana had paid for a right of first refusal on the striker, commonly known as Gabigol.

Tuttosport reports that, under the terms of the deal, Santos had to give Barça notification of any bid, and wait three days for their response.

However, it’s claimed Santos informed the Catalan side of Inter’s bid on August 29, before selling to the Nerazzurri on August 30.

“Santos did not respect the contract,” Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu confirmed on RAC.

“They concealed the deal slightly, so Barcelona will defend our interests to the end.”
