According to reports in Argentina, Barcelona have made preliminary contact with Paulo Dybala’s agent ahead of a possible free move in the summer.

La Joya will leave Juventus as a free agent at the end of the season and several top clubs have been linked with securing his services. Although Serie A champions Inter remain strongly interested in signing Dybala, Barcelona have also made contact with the player’s entourage asking for information about his salary requests.

That’s according to Argentinean journalist Cesar Luis Merlo who revealed in January that Dybala would not sign a contract extension with Juventus. The Bianconeri withdrew an €11m-a-year offer and were supposed to make a lower contract proposal to Dybala. However, they ended up making no offer at all, telling Dybala that he was free to find another club.

The 28-year-old will resume training with Juventus today, returning to Continassa for the first time since Juventus informed him that he was no longer wanted at the club.

  1. For a completely broke club they seem to have the money to pay crazy wages for all these players they’re linked with

  2. weren’t these people supposed to have no money and so sent Messi away last summer to PSG? I cannot understand …. must be coz I am very stupid I suppose ……

  3. I suppose clubs like Barcelona are banking on the immediate marketing response from these players. Shirt sales, image rights, etc.. People like Konami will pay a fortune for exclusivity and I swear Barcelona’s strip will eventually just be full of sponsors with 2 square inches of blaugrana
