According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have made a transfer approach to sign Lorenzo Pellegrini from Roma, but Liverpool and Atletico Madrid are also interested in the 24-year-old.

Pellegrini suffered a muscle injury with Italy and will be forced to miss Euro 2020.

However, it’s going to be a busy summer for the former Sassuolo man who has one year remaining in his contract with the Giallorossi and a €30m release clause.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Liverpool have set their sights on the 24-year-old who can leave the Stadio Olimpico if he fails to extend his contract with the Serie A side.

The Spanish paper suggests Barcelona have already contacted Roma to discuss the midfielder’s future, although Sky Sport Italia denies official transfer talks have already begun.

Pellegrini is a product of Roma academy, but he played two seasons at Sassuolo between 2015 and 2017 before returning to the Capital in a €10m move.
