Barcelona are reportedly interested in Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli, and the Rossoneri could ask for Junior Firpo in return.

The 26-year-old captain has one year left on his contract with the Diavolo and has, according to MilanNews rejected the club’s proposal to extend the deal.

Romagnoli is thus looking around for a new club and Mundo Deportivo reports Barcelona are interested in the former Roma defender.

The newspaper believes Milan will be ready to cash in on the player this summer, to avoid losing him on a free transfer next year.

The report adds that agent Mino Raiola is ready to include Junior Firpo in a deal that would bring Romagnoli to Barcelona.

Milan were reportedly in talks with Barcelona over a move for Junior Firpo back in January, but the 24-year-old had refused to make the move.

But the Blaugrana are not the only team interested in Romagnoli, as Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain reportedly monitor his situation at San Siro.
