Barcelona director Mateu Alemany has met Ousmane Dembélé’s agent Moussa Sissoko amid rumours linking the France international with a move to Juventus.

Dembélé’s contract expires at the end of the season and reports in Spain at the end of 2021 suggested the France winger would join the Old Lady on a free transfer in the summer. His move to Italy has not been confirmed and Barcelona still hope to persuade the talented winger to commit his future to the club.

Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona director Alemany travelled to Morocco yesterday to meet the winger’s agent. The La Liga giants didn’t make an improved offer for their star and confirmed the proposal made at the end of 2021, which the player’s entourage had rejected.

Allegri’s mentor sees Chelsea and Barça stars as ideal signings for Juventus

Dembélé has developed under Xavi, who refused to leave him out of the squad after the France winger had turned down offers to leave the club in January. This past weekend, the former Borussia Dortmund star was not booed by the Nou Camp crowd for the first time in 2022. The striker has also turned up to Barcelona’s training ground to work on his day off.

Juventus continue to monitor the 24-year-old and Massimiliano Allegri’s ex-coach and mentor Giovanni Galeone mentioned him as a possible reinforcement for the Old Lady in 2022-23.
