Barcelona fans were heard singing insulting chants against Inter during their 1-0 win over Celta Vigo yesterday.

The Catalans are still upset following the Nerazzurri’s 1-0 win at San Siro last week. The two sides meet again in Spain on Wednesday.

Barcelona were denied what appeared to be a clear penalty kick for a handball of Denzel Dumfries in the final minutes of the game at San Siro last week and are still furious because of it.

Il Corriere Dello Sport and Tuttosport report Barcelona fans insulted Inter in Italian during their victory over Celta.

They allegedly sang ‘Inter, Inter vaffan…’ while President Joan Laporta said the refereeing at San Siro last week was ‘shameful.’

According to Tuttosport, Inter directors were not impressed with Laporta’s claims. Club directors and Presidents will meet at an institutional lunch on Wednesday, hours before the kick-off at the Nou Camp.

Barcelona coach Xavi had vented his frustration after the final whistle but said on Saturday that the La Liga giants would not report the match’s referee to UEFA.

  1. They only need to open the water sprinkles as they did 2010 to prohibit us from celebrating going to the final!

  2. Barca fans so bitter. Hard to live in the shadow of a club that won 14 Champions league titles I guess. Poor them.

  3. That club from top to bottom are petrified of getting dumped out of the CL as they’ll go to the wall.
