Barcelona duo Deco and Bojan Krkic were left impressed by the shining performance of Ademola Lookman in the Europa League final, generating interest ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old Nigerian forward was the obvious star of the show in Atalanta’s historic Europa League final win over Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen, netting a hattrick to drive his side to victory on one of the biggest stages.

Lookman proved himself at the highest level and earnt himself a rare 10 rating from L’Equipe, a sign of his electric performance in Atalanta’s victory. He has now netted 15 goals and provided eight assists across 43 matches this season.

Barcelona impressed by Lookman

As reported by Spanish outlet Sport, Barcelona directors Deco and Krkic were in the stands of the Aviva Stadium and were left thoroughly impressed by Lookman in the Europa League final, believing he’d be an interesting fit for the squad in Catalonia.

The 26-year-old only has two years left on his contract with Atalanta and has an estimated market value of around €30m, an accessible price for the Blaugrana.
