Barcelona and Roma are reportedly close to agreeing the terms for Bojan Krkic’s permanent transfer to the Italians.

Bojan, who has struggled to hold down a regular place in the capital under Luis Enrique since his arrival from Spain last summer, has been the subject of speculation as to his future beyond the end of this season.

Midway through a two-year loan deal from the Catalan giants, it was alleged earlier this week that Roma would be sending the player back to Camp Nou this June. However, following on from Monday’s denial of this, the Giallorossi are now said to reportedly be in talks with Barca to keep hold of the 21-year-old on a permanent basis.

The terms of the player’s loan deal require the clubs to negotiate this summer on his destination, because Barca have a clause inserted in the deal that gives them an option to take him back to La Liga if they so wish.

According to AS in Spain, Barcelona are not going to take that option up and instead, are in continuing negotiations with Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini today to work out terms on a permanent switch to the Eternal City outfit.

Earlier today, the player’s agent claimed that Schalke and Liverpool were among other clubs working on a potential deal for the striker.
