Roma Coach Rudi Garcia insists tomorrow’s Champions League clash with Barcelona is “important, but not decisive”.

The Giallorossi are just one point ahead of Bayer Leverkusen in second place in the group, and will know how the Germans fared against BATE Borisov by the time they take the field at Camp Nou.

“Let’s see if Daniele [De Rossi] is fit, he had a perfect game in the first leg,” Garcia said in his pre-match Press conference, when asked how he intends to counter Barça’s pressing game.

“We can also play without a regista, but with a more attacking midfielder. It’s quite possible, it’ll depend on many things, even BATE’s result, as they’re playing first.

“To get out of their pressing, we’ll have to play well, and also take some risks. We also have [Edin] Dzeko who is very good at holding up the ball.

“We’re strong in attack, but also everywhere else. We passed the test in the first leg, not allowing them many opportunities. We have to show the same level of organisation.

“It will be an important game, but not decisive. It’s down to us, but not only us.”

Blaugrana striker Neymar has 10 goals and seven assists in his last eight games, is he now better than Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo?

“They [Barcelona] only have champions in their team. We’re aware of where we’re playing, and who we’re playing against, but we have great players too.

“Our players know who they’re playing against, but they must have confidence in themselves.

“Neymar is fantastic, Ronaldo is fantastic. It’s always a pleasure to watch them… though maybe on TV rather than from the bench!”
