Sporting director Walter Sabatini claims it's 'good for Roma' to measure themselves against Barcelona, whom he dubs 'the best'.

The Giallorossi will kick off against the Blaugrana at 19:45 UK time tonight, for a match that has many supporters in the capital feeling nervous.

"Barcelona are fired up after the Real Madrid game, but it's good for us to be in matches like this and challenge ourselves against the best not only in terms of results, but also performance,” the director of sport told Mediaset Premium.

"Compared to Saturday against Bologna, it'll be nice to play some actual football with the ball rolling along the turf."

The reigning Champions League holders have been linked with Miralem Pjanic and Alessandro Florenzi, the latter considered an “heir” to Dani Alves.

"We don't need money, we want to keep the team competitive. It makes us proud that Barcelona are interested in our players, but they are not for sale.”
