The Italian and the Spanish team will face each other in the Champions League round of the last sixteen on February 17, for the first round in Rome.

While the Blancos are widely understood to be the favourites, Baptista believes the matter is not as straightforward.

“It's complicated,” he told the Spanish periodical AS. “I lost a knock-out bout against the Giallorossi and that was painful.

“Being the favourites is something that you have to demonstrate on the pitch.

“The Blancos are superior? You can't get too trustful. When you think things are going to be easy, that's when you always get problems, and Italian teams are invariably difficult to play against.”
