Gazzetta dello Sport reports today that Sevilla told Inter they could have Banega straight away for €4.5m and that the playmaker wanted a move.
However, the club didn’t want to pay so much for a player who is out of contract in the summer and they have reportedly fixed a medical for the Argentine for 15 February ahead of a summer switch.
Inter would also have had to pay between €4-5m for Diarra yesterday according to the newspaper, but haven’t given up on a future move.
The San Siro outfit will continue talks with Marseille for the France international today according to the report, with the hope of agreeing a deal for the summer.
