“The player wants to move to Paris so he can go and join his ballerina wife who works over there,” President Maurizio Zamparini told Radio Monte Carlo.
“I know that Paris SG director Leonardo is interested in him and there could be some new developments over the next few weeks.”
The left-back, formerly of Torino and Juventus, has been at the Stadio Barbera since his 2008 switch from Fiorentina.
It now seems certain that Balzaretti will join PSG – all that has to be decided is whether he moves in January or June.
