Milan’s on-loan Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli will reportedly undergo surgery on a groin injury that will keep him out until January.
There were fears yesterday that such surgery could sideline the Italy international for three months, but it now appears that the length of layoff won’t be as bad as first feared.
Gazzetta dello Sport has written today that the Rossoneri striker will travel to Munich today for a final consultation with Dr Ulrike Muschaweck before surgery 24 hours later.

Milan, Liverpool and the player are believed to have all agreed that this is the best move to finally get rid of his groin problem.
Balotelli has only made four appearances for the San Siro outfit so far, but should reportedly return in January after the winter break.
