Mario Balotelli has thanked President Massimo Moratti for admitting that he would re-sign him for Inter – but he’s staying at Manchester City.

The Nerazzurri chief admitted recently that he wouldn’t hesitate in bringing Balotelli back to San Siro if such an option was possible.

“I’d like to say thank you to Moratti,” the Italian international striker commented. “But I don’t want to leave Manchester City right now.

“Perhaps one day we’ll see, but not now.”

Balotelli was asked about a move back to Italy last week where although he committed his future to City, he did talk about a possible switch to one of the Milan clubs.

“It’s true that I spoke about Inter and Milan, but there are also other clubs in England and in Spain,” he added.

The centre-forward has also been paired with a possible move to Napoli at some stage in the future. “I like Naples as a city,” he concluded.

Inter sold Balotelli, who scored his first goal for Italy on Friday against Poland, to join City in the summer of 2010 for a transfer fee of €28m.
