Mario Balotelli made a surprise return to Milan on Sunday for a brief visit to the club’s training ground, Milanello.
The former Italy international posted a selfie from the club’s training base to his Instagram story on Sunday afternoon. “We always come back home,” he wrote.
The former Inter striker spent two-and-a-half seasons playing for the Rossoneri across two separate spells, originally joining from Manchester City in January 2013. He bagged 26 Serie A goals from 43 outings during his first stint with Milan, before returning on loan from Liverpool for the 2015-16 campaign.
The 33-year-old currently finds himself without a club following the expiry of his contract with Turkish side Adana Demirspor at the end of June.
